  • Every student is guaranteed to be treated with dignity and respect at all times.

Our staff understands that everyone has needs, and we give each student the opportunity to express their needs in order to maintain their learning. This can take the form of interspersing preferred activities throughout the day, having sensory activities and items available to the student during lessons, and offering productive choices to ensure that a student remains engaged while upholding their independence.

Staff members are also trained in more therapeutic approaches, such as ACT and DBT, which not only supports a safe and happy environment, but also promotes self-regulation and awareness for students.

  • This can vary between each prospective student. Oakbridge acknowledges and honors the support system of your student’s current school, and would like to ensure a mutual agreement is made between all parties involved. Here are some important enrollment milestones that must be achieved prior to starting at Oakbridge Academy:

    • Your student’s current school will need to re-evaluate your student’s records and determine the need for a new placement for your student.

    • An Individualized Education Plan (IEP) will need to be drafted to reflect your student’s new schooling placement and the service expectations of Oakbridge Academy. Our staff will collaborate with your student’s current school to ensure that your student’s learning needs are met.

    • Enrollment forms for Oakbridge Academy must be completed and processed.

    • An agreement between Oakbridge and your student’s current school must be signed.

These milestones can impact the duration of your student’s enrollment process.
